iSoftStone offers a “fine dining” approach to assessing digital content
iSoftStone’s certified Trusted Testers have over a decade’s worth of experience testing digital content specifically for accessibility.
All iSoftStone testers have a basic understanding of HTML and know how to navigate the DOM to locate the associated code snippets for page elements that are the cause of a bug or violation.
We investigate bugs for authenticity and other details to help engineering teams determine root cause, user impact, and steps for remediation.
iSoftStone has a reputation for high-quality testing practices that include:
- Establish core scenarios
- Work with product owners to determine testing needs
- Setup each test pass as a unique test plan for tracking within VSTS
- Provide clear & detailed bug writing
- Quick turn around time on bug fix validation
- Available for live triage calls with engineering teams
- Comprehensive test reporting
Our Testing Methodology
iSoftStone’s approach to accessibility testing is a proven and reproducible factory model that ensures a complete and accurate picture of the level of accessibility compliance for any digital content. Our methodology consists of four primary phases that includes multi-OS and cross-browser testing for blind and low-vision, deaf and hard of hearing, and cognitive and mobility disabilities.
Discoverability and Insert Test Team
We begin with a discoverability phase to understand the scope of the platform and make recommendations for flexible options to support your business need (i.e. onshore, on-offshore blend, etc). From there we provide an Accessibility PM and Test Lead to draw up a test playbook from which we will establish the test team, assessment schedule, and reporting cadence.
Developing for Assistive Technology
iSoftStone’s accessibility engineers are experts at developing solutions that work seamlessly with Assistive Technology (AT). The result is a great experience for users with disabilities that rely on various forms of AT to help them get what they need done efficiently. We know the technology necessary that meets accessibility standards across all disability types.
Findings
As test iterations proceed, the team will communicate weekly bug reports and metrics that highlight test activity, trends, and other data points to assist in achieving accessibility health. Findings may also include recommendations for non-direct violations (i.e., double links) as well as usability optimizations (i.e., color contrast, table structures).
Progress Report
You will always be aware of what’s going on during test cycles. Our team will provide weekly executive updates that include information around the number of bugs discovered and logged, the percentage breakdown of bugs by criticality and severity, and an overall status of test and audit activities.
